The Crossrail project has been setup to take forward both the east-west Crossrail route and also the associated
development of the Hackney-South West scheme. This will be a £16 billion scheme, which will be the largest
civil engineering project since the Channel Tunnel and will provide a new route to the heart of the capital.
Once the project is complete it will allow 24 trains per hour straight into the centre of London from the east and
west, improving rail links to the West End, the City and Docklands.

The UK has long been at the forefront of the Nuclear Power industry from the start up of Calder Hall as the
world’s first commercial Nuclear Power Station in 1956 through to the recent announcement by the government of a
new raft of 3rd generation reactors. The safe clean up and decommissioning of the UK's Nuclear fleet represents a
huge engineering feat and latest estimates from the NDA put the cost of decommissioning in the UK at £73 billion.
EPCglobal is pleased to be working closely with many of the companies involved in the Nuclear sector including
AMEC, Jacobs, Doosan Babcock & Nukem. We have contract and permanent staff opportunities in all engineering
disciplines at most of the major Nuclear sites from the South of England to Scotland.
In addition to our involvement with decommissioning projects our Nuclear team are also heavily involved with the
ongoing upgrade & refurbishment projects at the Atomic Weapons Establishment at Aldermaston.

Bechtel began work on the Jubail Industrial City project more than 30 years ago and is still working in Jubail now.
In fact, Jubail is the largest ongoing civil engineering project in the world today. It also stands as one of the
greatest achievements of Bechtel, its employees, and families who worked and lived there.
Bechtel has managed the Jubail project, located in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, since it
began in the mid-1970s, and in 2004, the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu asked the company to manage Jubail
II, a $3.8 billion expansion of the city's industrial and residential areas.
Jubail is a complete city, with all the industry, infrastructure, housing, shopping, educational and medical
facilities required to support its present population of almost 100,000 people. Saudi Arabian Bechtel Company
(SABCO) performs ongoing engineering, procurement and construction management. Jubail II will add a second
industrial area to house up to 22 new primary industries. The project calls for the expansion of King Fahd
Industrial Port, pipeline refurbishment, increasing capacity of the cooling system, and new desalination plants. The
team will prepare drawings and specifications and manage construction of facilities to meet demand over the next 25
to 30 years.
Bechtel employees in Jubail have always been of diverse international and ethnic backgrounds and have a wide range
of education and training. Nations represented among employees at present (2007) include Australia, Canada, Egypt,
India, Jordan, Lebanon, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Poland, Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom, United States, and
other countries. This rich mixture of ethnic and
national heritage makes for an interesting and challenging community in which to live. When you come to Jubail, you
are bound to learn a great deal about life in many other parts of the world - not just Saudi Arabia.

An alliance has been formed with Network Rail to upgrade the
existing electrification system of the West Coast Main Line
route for the new high-speed "tilting" trains. The
system will be re-engineered to facilitate higher route capacity
and utilise a new electrical traction system. The work is widely
dispersed across 1,660 miles of track and involves many different
engineering disciplines. One of the major challenges is to
execute this ambitious programme of improvements while the
West Coast Main Line remains operational. Possession of the
track is required in order for the works to occur. The engineering
works are scheduled so that interruptions to customers, the
train and freight operating companies are carefully planned
and kept to a minimum. The project will take place in two phases:
the introduction of the new trains in 2002 and the increase
in speed in 2005.

Network Rail is renewing its analogue radio systems and installing a digital
communication system called GSM-R that will, for the first time, provide a national system of secure driver to
signaller communication. Once the GSM-R network is built, the existing networks will be decommissioned. The FTN
project will replace and renew over 16,000 km of copper cabling and 11,000 km of fibre optic cabling, this will
provide voice and data communications capabilities for Network Rail and provide the backbone for the GSM-R system.
The cable will be laid and cell sites built which will cover 16,000 km of track, 2,500 stations, 9,000 level
crossings, 40,000 bridges and help enable the movement of 25,000 trains every day. EPCglobal currently has multiple
permanent and contract positions available with this project.

| New Doha International Airport |
|
When it opens in 2009, the Doha international airport
will be the only commercial international airport serving Qatar’s capital city.

development in 2050, the new airport will handle 50 million passengers, 2 million tonnes
of cargo, and the 350,000+ square meter passenger terminal facility will be the largest
building in Doha. Over 10 square kilometres of land reclaimed for the site is taken from
the open sea, requiring nearly 13 km of armoured seawall to protect the site. EPCglobal

appointed us to help them with their resource needs on the construction of the world's first 3rd generation
Nuclear Power stations in China. Westinghouse's AP1000 PWR reactor design will provide the basis for two $20bn
Power Stations that together will provide over 4000MWe for China's electricity network. The first of the two
projects will enter construction in 2008 & is expected to begin operating around 2014, with up to 15000
engineers required on site during peak construction from 2011 onwards.
Further orders for the AP1000 technology include 3 developments in the US representing the first investment in
Nuclear Power since 1979's Three Mile Island accident. The reactor design is also one of 4 currently undergoing
assessment by the UK government as they seek to secure our energy future. EPCglobal is delighted to be involved
